Question 5:
How did you attract/address your audience?
Our group attracted/addressed our audience in several different ways. We knew that, in order to get feedback, we had to get as many people to see it as possible. In order to do this we posted it all over social media websites, so that our Opening Title Sequence was out there and available to anyone.
The social networking websites that we used:
- Youtube
YouTube Review:
The first social media website that we posted our video on was Youtube. Since Youtube was the original place where we uploaded our video, it became an open platform, as it enabled us to then repost it onto other media platforms (Facebook, Twitter etc) and gain more reviews and feedback. As you can see, in terms of views, Youtube was the most effective. We managed to reach 98 views in under a month. This suggests that, as well as it being our original place of upload, Youtube is a more widespread social media network and videos have an accelerated velocity of getting around the internet and going viral.
Facebook Review:
The second social media website we posted our video on was Facebook. Facebook has a varied audiences that covers early teenagers right the way through the generations to the elderly. Anyone was able to access our video and comment. We received some interesting and helpful feedback from Facebook and overall it was a success, as it was the most responsive in terms of getting our audience's opinions.
Twitter Review:
Our third area of social media websites was Twitter. Over the last several years, Twitter has exploded. Our group weren't to sure how our video was going to go down, because the layout of Twitter is extremely different to other social media websites. Twitter churns out lots of stories that either everyone sees or they get lost in a blizzard of constant updates and tweets. We aren't entirely certain who the audiences of Twitter are, but we definitely think that it's for the young adult to mid-40's generations, as it appears to be far too complex for younger people or the elderly. Our video on Twitter was either going to be a hit or a miss, but thankfully we managed to gain a review. Even though Twitter wasn't the most responsive social media networking site, we still managed to get some feedback.

Overall it seems that the audience most interested in our product are the older teen to young adult demographic. Within that demographic the audience tends to move towards heavier, more edgy genres in regards to music. This can be exploited by gearing the soundtrack towards that style of music. The audience we are trying to appeal to also seem to prefer trendy clothes popular with today's youths meaning we may want to dress our likeable protagonist as such to increase his/her appeal. D.S
