The keyword zombies received very little attention until September 2008 where the words search popularity began to rise slowly but steadily until January 2010 where the popularity of zombies begins to rise at a faster rate, peaking that year at November. 2010 was also they year the THE WALKING DEAD was released which suggests the meteoritic rise of the shows popularity helped re-spark interest in the Zombie genre. Since then the keyword zombie has had a somewhat erratic though generally positive development of public interest. D.S

The development of interest for the keyword horror at first glance seems erratic with frequent peaks and troughs.However upon closer inspection we can bar some notable exceptions the peak of interest in the keyword is around late October, namely Halloween. This provides a release date that would be favourable for sales and presents a larger chance for success. Another point of note is that the highest peak of interest in the keyword horror was around October of this year (at the time of this write up 2013) suggesting the popularity of horror is on the rise.
