Preliminary Task
In order to gain more skills when filming we filmed a preliminary task to help us learn how to film different angles and eliminate any continuity errors that could occur. One of the methods that we learnt and used was the 180 degree rule. The 180 degree rule basically means that you are not allowed to go out of 180 when filming a conversation between two people. This rule was incredibly helpful as without these shots our final task would be seem unrealistic to the viewer because of the change in camera position. We also learned about other continuity errors that should be taken into account. For example we made sure their was no diegetic sound in the background of people talking or lessons going on as this would have obviously changed and jumped from shot to shot which would wouldn't be as realistic as we had intended it to be.
