Our Costume and Makeup
Our makeup for our opening title sequence was defiantly how we wanted it to turn out. We tried different techniques to get the look we wanted, such as wax which we molded into the shape of scars and bullet holes which was effective but didn't give us the effect of peeled skin that we wanted. After testing the materials we decided that liquid latex was the best.
To create the look in the picture we used liquid latex, tissue paper, eye shadow and fake blood. By using eyes shadows it made our zombie look bruised and dead and the latex and tissue paper made the skin look like it was peeling. The only thing we didn't like as much was the gel blood as it is quite bright, so we decided to use the edible blood we made. Because we chose to have closeups of hands in our sequence we used the eye show to make there fingernails look dirty, as if they have been in a zombie apocalypse.

We also used contact lenses for our zombie as we think that it makes them seem more 'zombie like' than human. It make them all look extra creepy, and it made it easier to identify Alice when shes a human and when shes a zombie.
We decided to go very basic with our costumes, for the survivors we got old clothes which we ripped and added blood to, it wasn't to much that they looked like zombies but it made them look less clean and smart. As for our Zombie, Coby, we dripped the edibile blood we made all down his shirt making his stand out from the other actors.
